Hey,

My family has two computers (A laptop and a desktop), and the desktop is very, very, very x10 slow. Basically, it turns on fine and the welcome screen shows fine and fast. But once you click on a name to login it takes FOREVER. The desktop shows quickly, but the applications and stuff take a long time to load, and it even freezes sometimes if you right click or click the start menu or something similar. The computer doesn't so much lag when there's a lot of programs open either, it ...

The Number One Insurance Buyer Complaint

I work with hundreds of insurance buyers a year.

A common complaint is, "I only hear from my agent when he sends a bill."

Call your best clients. Tell them you were thinking about them. Ask how they are doing. Ask how you can help? Offer to buy them a cup of coffee and to spend a few minutes reviewing their insurance so you can be sure things are set up right based on current conditions.

Send clients newspaper articles you think might interest them. Send them a link to ...

I hope to get advice from people who have already been in my shoes. My partner and I run a small company in S.Ca. We are completely different people and went to business not even knowing each other well. My partner is a great guy, but he is not a good agent, doesn't know coverages well, and doesn't really care about self improvement. I, on the other hand, do all the quoting, marketing, business development and part of the service. However, my partner used to bring in more business. All in all ...

We can imagine that it is quite scary and overwhelming landing in a new country, and trying to sort out a 'home from home'. We like to make the transition easier, and so we have got a deal with HSBC, one of the leading and most reliable banks, where we can 'fast-track' our teacher's applications. What HSBC offer through us is a BASIC account, with no overdraft, but that is enabled for direct credit and debit, which means you can get PAID!!!

If you DO NOT have an address yet, don't worry. We ...

More about the NI number

What is a National Insurance Number?

A National Insurance (NI) Number is a personal number allocated to you which should be used in all your dealings with HM Revenue & Customs or the Department for Work and Pensions.

The number is unique to you and ensures that the government correctly credits and records contributions you are entitled to or have paid to your NI account.

NI goes towards the UK social security and state pension system, so you will need these NI credits when you come ...

What is a National Insurance Number?

All residents of the United Kingdom must apply for a National

Insurance number.

This number is similar to a:

Tax File number in Australia

The IRD number in New Zealand

The Social Insurance number in Canada

The Social Security number in the USA and the

Identification number in South Africa.

It is used as a unique reference/account number by the Inland Revenue, and by medical

practitioners when you are seeking any form of medical attention.
